THE VISION
The Harvest Discipleship Ministry is founded on the Scriptures: Matthew 28:18-20 and Psalm 92:12-15.
God knew it would take more than a right decision to live for Christ on this earth. He saw a need for new babes in Christ to be assisted in getting rooted and grounded in new creation realities and foundational truths as they start their covenant relationship towards spiritual maturity.
The Harvest Discipleship Ministry at Agape Family Worship Center responds to the commission to teach them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you Thus, we assist new converts to become rooted and grounded in new creation realities and foundational truths.
The Harvest Discipleship Ministry can be found in every aspect of the Agape Visionspiritual growth and development, dynamic praise and worship, teaching the Word of God, supportive relationships, fellowship and gospel outreach. We invite you to find yourself in the Harvest Discipleship Ministry.
As a member of the Ministry, you will never have to wonder, Lord is that you speaking to me? His Word is very clear on our responsibility to occupy until He comes.
HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO
Our purpose is to insure that the initial decision or moment of salvation is nurtured into an all-important walking out of that decision into an exciting personal relationship with Christ that will last for eternity. We do this through a three-fold discipleship procedure
Immediate discipleship includes same day ministry to those who make decisions for Christ. New converts are accompanied to the discipleship room and receive ministry relative to their decision for Christ. Pertinent information is gathered from and dispensed to the convert.
Intermediate discipleship includes the sixteen-week New Beginnings course, which new converts desperately need. Every effort is made to get them to attend, for it will greatly enhance the development of their relationship with Christ.
On-Going discipleship includes telephone and personal follow-up with the converts. Supportive services will be offered to assist the convert in becoming familiar with the various ministries and services available at Agape.
If you have a heart for Kingdom work, there is a place for you in the Harvest Discipleship Ministry.
PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF DISCIPLESHIP
Immediate Ministry altar call:
Go over decision and minister accordingly.
Explain the New Beginnings course and the date and time of the next lesson.
Explain the concept and importance of follow-up.
Disburse new converts information with explanation and emphasis.
Welcome convert into the Family of God with prayer.
On-Going discipleship:
Minister to convert further about their decision and go through the assurance of salvation.
Talk to them about the New Beginnings class and give the
date of the next class.
Share the importance of the class to their relationship with Christ.
Pray with the convert about any needs or concerns.

Assist us to provide spiritual nourishment as we fellowship with spiritually immature Christians who have little intimate knowledge of Gods Word.
But from him who has not, even what he has will be taken. Matthew 25:29

That is our call to you today. Follow us as we follow Gods command to occupy until His return, turning decisions for Christ into disciples of Christ.
